I love my Job :)

After leaving school at 15 and landing a 4-year apprenticeship at the Tag Worldwide Group in 1989, I remember seeing Jimmy Page and Robert Plant sitting in a darkened room art directing their latest artwork with a guy on a Qantel Paintbox. From that day I wanted to be that guy, I wanted to be the 'digital artist'.

Over 30 years later and many changes to the industry, I still love my job and still have that energy and passion. I work out of my studio up on Tamborine Mountain, just outside of Brisbane. After many years working in and around advertising agencies and retouching houses in London and New York I've found the perfect place to work and concentrate on whatever I have on the screen on time.

Now I'm passionate about getting my own message across through my own art. Working with artists rather than 'advertising agencies' has opened my eyes. Breaking from constraints and client briefs is my new dawn. All that being said, I still have to pay the bills and the commercial work keeps me honest.

Either art or commercial work, I love my job :)
